Michel Architects is an AIA Award-winning residential architecture studio based in Topanga Canyon. This design-build practice brings deep local knowledge to Southern California's most demanding environments—fire rebuilds, hillside lots, coastal zoning, and other sites requiring a high level of expertise to permit and build to code—as well as award-winning experience in historic preservation, including a recent Lloyd Wright restoration in the Hollywood Hills.

Michel Architects' work has received the 2026 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Los Angeles Residential Architecture Award and the 2026 Docomomo Modernism in America Award, been featured in the 2026 Architectural Digest Los Angeles issue, and appeared on the cover of AD Germany in March 2026.  Led by Rob Michel, licensed architect and general contractor, the firm is defined by its thoughtful approach to design, emphasizing timeless simplicity, material integrity, and a seamless relationship between architecture and landscape.
